This kit will control most dust collection systems with up to a 1.5HP capacity. At the heart of iVAC's system is the Pro Switch. Simply plug your dust collector into this switch and it will automatically power up when the switch receives a signal from a power tool. The power tool communicates with the switch via a Power Tool Plus unit mounted on the tool's cord. When the tool is powered up, the Power Tool Plus unit senses the magnetic field surrounding the tool's power cord and sends a wireless signal to the Pro Switch to turn on the dust collector. The 4" Pro Blast Gates allow you to precisely and automatically control the vacuum flow of your dust collector, whether you want it going to multiple tools at once, or you need all the vacuum power going to a single tool. Mounted between the exhaust port of the power tool and the dust collector hose, these gates are electrically driven and programmable to 3 different modes of operation. The same signal sent by an installed Pro Tool Plus unit to the Pro Switch to power the dust collector instructs the blast gate to open. When the power tool is turned off, it instructs the blast gate to close. With optional accessories (not included), the blast gates can be operated via a remote control unit or via wired cable with a toggle switch. An optional Contactor allows you to run dust collectors up to 10 HP (depending on their configuration), and protect your equipment from start-up electrical surge. The Contactor is a heavy-duty 3-pole relay housed in an electrical box and is designed to withstand surge currents of up to 150 Amps and maintain a running current of up to 40 Amps.
