Product description Jamón is the national culinary treasure of Spain . The incredible cured ham made from free-range, acorn-fed pork, is the ultimate of its kind. Cured for over two years, thin slices of this ham provide with beneficial fats that are the key to its profound, complex flavor., is known as the elite brand of Ibérico ham. The hams come from an ancient breed of pig, Cerdo Ibérico, which has been roaming the woodland meadows of western Spain feeding on acorns for thousands of years. Jamón Ibérico de Bellota is the pride of Spain, and Spaniards consume the vast majority of the limited number of hams produced in their own country. There they feast upon acorns which are falling in abundance from the holm oak and cork trees. They feast on these 'bellotas' (Spanish for acorn) themselves, putting on at least two pounds of weight each day! When it is time for their sacrifice (the Spanish term for slaughter), these genetically unique animals produce Jamón Ibérico de Bellota hams that are marbled with rich golden fat infused with the flavor of the sweet bellota acorns. Remarkably, a good portion of which is mono-unsaturated, similar to healthy olive oil.

Review: It's so delicious! - I can't understand why anyone would write a bad review on this. It's so delicious that I can't eat any other kind of cured ham now. It melts in your mouth. I'm addicted to it. Regardless of the price I've bought 3 packs this month so far and it's only the middle of the month.
Review: I do not reccomend this small prepackaged Iberico ham product based on price and quality recieved. - This item arrived brown and did not look like the ad on desertcart at all. The smell was not what I expected and it tasted suspect so I unfortunately felt is safer to dispose of it. Since that time, I did purchase a full Iberico ham from desertcart and cut it myself. The color, smell, and taste of the dry aged and freshly cut Iberico ham was completely different. It was a beautiful ruby red, fragrant, and when covered with plastic wrap and left to warm up to about 74oF, was easy to consume. I have a suspicion that this and other food companies may be taking advantage of desertcart as a clearing house for items of questionable quality because they are non-returnable. The desertcart sellers can't be held responsible for how products are handled inside the warehouses since they are huge and there are so many employees. They might however want to develop a special handling, cooling, and packaging requirements for food products even if that packaging ultimately falls to the sellers. I buy so many items from desertcart daily and greatly appreciate their service and pricing. I have ever only had issues with a few food items. Other than that, I'm a huge desertcart fan!

A: This ham is delicious and special - it is dried, so no need to refrigerate.

**Q: How many slices are in this 2 oz package? Thanks!**
A: 10-15 give or take, it's totally worth it, the taste of it is mouth watering.

**Q: Is the iberico shoulder boneless?**
A: Not sure, I think it's shoulder but it's crap. Don't bother

**Q: Will this transport safely without refrigeration? Should it be refrigerated upon arrival? (I'm in Hawaii.)**
A: cured ham doesn't require refrigeration

I can't understand why anyone would write a bad review on this. It's so delicious that I can't eat any other kind of cured ham now. It melts in your mouth. I'm addicted to it. Regardless of the price I've bought 3 packs this month so far and it's only the middle of the month.
