This is so multiple devices can use a single monitor. Note: dual monitors are not supported here. This is good if you have, say, 3 or 4 game systems and 1 big TV. Or a bunch of servers in a rack, and one small 4k monitor. If you're wondering, why only 4 stars...the refresh rate tops out at 60hz, which limits the usefulness for gamers, many of which have refresh rates between 100-150 hz. Some even higher. So, if that's you, this isn't your multiviewer. You'll want to find one that supports higher refresh rates. The biggest plus is the wireless remote. So many of these things come with wired remotes (or no remote at all) that the wireless remote is refreshing. Overall, my only complaint was the lack of support for high speed refresh rates.
