It can fit in women's handbag easily. Very light. The button to push open the umbrella is safe-guarded so it doesn't pinch your finger. The umbrella is not automatic. You need to press the button to open the umbrella and release it to lock the open position. Until you learn the trick, it may be difficult to lock at first. Once you learn, it's easy.It protects me from the sun light. I noticed the temperature drop immediately under the umbrella. The dot pattern is cute as well.This is, however, cheaply made. Ribs are very weak, and I can tell they will easily break if a strong wind blows. The umbrella is to mainly avoid the sun for me. Even when a wind comes from my front, I have to place the umbrella to the back as long as the sun is on my back. The umbrella catches the wind and makes it difficult for me to keep walking at those times. Ribs are sometimes warped because of that.
