### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ There Going to Need a Little Breaking In

This sort of strap (closed loop) is traditionally associated with Weightlifting and they WILL hold on to the bar unless you release your hand; the intention is for the lifter to be able to execute a very powerful, the first pull in particular, lift without tensing up the arms —remember, your arms are like ropes— but still be able to release the bar as they begin to lower it. Something that I associate with the fun of the sport, however, something that is entirely the point of these straps, the quick release! These straps are an example of an extremely well made piece of equipment because it was designed by someone who has used this kind of straps and done some serious Weightlifting. With the advent of CrossFit, Weightlifting may well be far more popular a sport than it has been in the past in the United States. It also means that there are more hands out there taking a beating every single day! These straps are an easy to use way of protecting your hands from the constant beating of gripping a barbell and moving it explosively from the floor to one’s shoulders or to overhead. I find that my hands get most beat up with snatch grip high pulls and these straps are perfect for that lift because they will release rather than pull you until they unwrap from the bar, for instance, should you lose your grip in one hand. They are extraordinarily comfortable because the way they are padded is not like a pillow is sitting on your wrist yet, the padding is noticeably softer on your skin. Let’s face it, the weight on the strap was never the issue, it was the tearing at the skin that caused the first padded straps, these are better. The strap itself is a wonder of care in the actual sewing of the strap. The end of the straps is covered with a piece of leather and sewn so it will not unravel and it certainly smells and feels like it is real leather which is a rare touch these days. The box is stitched for ~3 inches so the ends of the straps are stiff and will probably remain that way for a while and that is ok because these straps are bound to be with you for a long time, they are that well made. Someone might think that having a bag for straps is an extravagance, nevertheless, it makes perfect sense to me, an empty bag is a great reminder to find your straps and put them where they belong before someone steals them! They are that good! Over the years, I have used both, straps made of nylon and straps made of cotton and I have come to prefer the cotton straps by far because, once broken in, they feel right on the bar, like they are holding onto the bar, the nylon straps feel like they are going to slip as soon as force is applied. Since the goal is to feel more comfortable while lifting and lifting more weight, the feel on the bar is a priority and these straps do not disappoint. Considering the care with which they are made, the termination in real leather, the thickness of the woven cotton, and how long I expect that they will last in my opinion, these straps are a great value for your dollar. All the more so that they are made in Ukraine! `
