Review: Yummy - Red bean paste is so yummy. I can’t believe I’d never had it until a couple years ago in sesame balls from a restaurant. It’s a delightful treat. I made sticky rice cakes with this as the filling and it worked perfectly. Good, smooth consistency. I do find it a little too sweet, but I don’t think it would be overkill for most people because I don’t eat much sugar at all. I would try freezing the left over portion next time. I’ve seen some say it works, but haven’t tried it and I didn’t use more than half the bag. Try it and enjoy!

A: No, the ingredients are red (adzuki) beans, sugar, and water.

**Q: Is this an actual smooth paste that is ready to spread on cake? Like the smooth filling in red bean buns?**
A: While it's smooth, it's not for directly filling red bean buns. The red bean paste in Chinese steamed buns contains lard. You need to cook this paste with oil or butter before using it as filling. Use 10 gram of oil for every 100 grma of red bean paste. Cook over medium heat in non stick pan or wok. Stir constantly with rubber spatula.

**Q: Is it gluten free vegan and soy free?**
A: Its just mashed anko beans and sugar so unless those things have gluten, I think you're safe

**Q: where is it manufacture?**
A: I've used it up and since thrown the package away, so I'm not sure where it's manufactured. Sorry!
