Mom and dad were impressed, especially because it made me look somewhat good in front of everybody. By the way, an extra advantage with SmartLab is that it involves the father/mother getting closer to their son/daughter by providing an occasional tidbit of help. Review: just okay.. - I bought this for my ten yr old who loves anything science. This kit does come with a lot of different experiments but I had to only give it three stars because the slime-machine dose not actually do anything at all except for shake up whatever it is you put into the machine. The picture on this thing makes it looks like the slime actually expands/grows up the walls of the machine, but it does no such thing. You put the slime in, turn it on and all it does it shake up the "slime" (the slime in this kit isn't very slimy, like others).
