I would imagine that liquid could seep underneath it and into the case if he gets a drenching spill. Honestly though, unless I entirely wrap the machine in plastic wrap or something there isn't much we can do about that. At least it will keep most of the liquid out. If they only made water tight full coverage Otter Boxes for laptops! This simple silicone cover will protect your keyboard (the most vulnerable part of your laptop) and keep things from getting inside the computer and shorting things out. The very first day after I installed this cover, I spilled coffee on the laptop and it went... nowhere. Lifted off the cover, washed it and put it back on. Make sure it will fit your EXACT keyboard. Close does not count in this circumstance.
