Review: So I have only had this a few days so I can’t speak on longevity. For reference I’m using this to power a JL 12W7 is a sealed enclosure at 3 ohms. So best I can figure is it’s giving me about 1,100 - 1,200 watts give or take. My car actually runs at the 14.4v due to a large AGM and the big 3 wire. I’m running 0 gauge from front to very rear of a midsize SUV. I set the amp up with a DDM and oscilloscope. I found that the clip light on the amp is very accurate to the scope. I do like that the amp is relatively small for it’s power output. Now something I figured out, I have a JL VX amp with a DSP and using its subwoofer pre outs to this amp. At first I set it up just a hair under clipping and all other controls/knobs are off or at 0. I was getting some tapping from my sub. Wasn’t sure if I’m just bottoming out the sub or if it was clipping. Now keep in mind this is at very high volume, enough to shake my review mirror off the mount. I was concerned about damaging my sub plus just the sound quality. What I had to do is turn the gain down on the amp much more than I would have expected then I boosted the output from my DSP and some EQ settings. And oh yeah before all of that my head unit is a “Excelon” and has a very clean signal up to max volume from the pre outs. But I only run everything to max out at 3/4 volume settings to reach the limits of output. So in short you can say I have a very clean audio signal and power source going to this amp. And I had to keep the gain set kinda low but in return my sub was able to play louder and cleaner. I also found that if you don’t have a DSP turn the gain down on the amp then if you have a subwoofer output on your head unit bump that up. (DO NOT use bass boost or loudness) those things only add distortion in your signal, if you find yourself needing those settings then you’re probably doing something wrong. The bass knob on this amp isn’t the best but it works. This is a budget amp, so with that I would consider it pretty good value. You really are getting at least advertised power or more. As long as you do your part of giving it the correct voltage and available amps and a clean audio signal. For the individuals that don’t know, when you start getting into the 2,000 watts range or more on a stock alternator and even with an upgraded battery you’re pushing the limits of your vehicles electrical system. I’m at the point of needing a second battery even with all the upgrades I have done, and a stock 140 amp alternator. So if you’re disappointed in this amp you might want to look at your overall electrical system. This amp is capable and inexpensive. Just might need to make some adjustments to get it to where your needs are. Like I said I’m probably at 60% of the gain to clipping and push a 12W7 very hard. If you’re looking for something inexpensive and around the listed power ratings+ shown then this is a good amp. But with that I think I could have been a little more disappointed if I didn’t have my DSP in front of this. But again I’m going more for SQL than just SPL numbers. If you want to just have some loud subs pounding in the trunk and set it by the clip light you would be fine with this amp. I was previously running a Sundown sub and this amp would have been just fine for that application, or if you have some Skar subs again this would do the job. It’s better to overpower your RMS and turn it down and have it clean, than to under-power a sub and have an amp pushed to it’s limits and clipping.
Review: Great amplifier

These are good for the price. I took away 1 star because features are at a minimum. The output is clean and configuring is straightfoward. At that price point, you can’t really go wrong.
