For this kind of item, this is obviously a must-have, but one could be surprised at how many times it's... not done the right way.The plates themselves are simple in their design, very minimalist, and a neutral grey colour that will go with pretty much every interior. This is exactly what I wanted--I'm not keen on patterns on plates in general, no idea why. They also look and feel heavy, "well in hand"; it may or may not be an issue, but as far as I'm concerned, I liked this because it makes it feel like I have actual crockery in hand. (I used to have plates that were so light I always wondered if they were actually plastic... and this is not what I was going for here.)
