We followed all the instructions correctly, using one of the packs and went away happy that it would be all right. Two weeks later, on our return, we discovered that all was not well as the water had turned a nasty shade of green - which showed even through the pool cover. We were forced to empty the pool, get rid of the 'contaminated' water and refill it. We did not use the second pack, we were so cross, and we went and got proper water treatment granules containing chlorine. These have a worked a treat and we now test the water regularly. It is now problem-free. I would discourage anyone from buying the Kiddy-Safe Water Treatment, as it is not fit for purpose. It is marketed as being safe for kids, but it isn't. Chlorine is essentially a disinfectant which kills any bacteria present in the water, which is why public pools are treated with it. It isn't actually harmful either, unless you drank gallons of it. It can cause eye and throat irritation if ingested in this way. In conclusion, I believe that the description of the product was misleading, as it did not 'treat'' the pool for two weeks, as stated and was a waste of money. ### ⭐⭐ Is what it says *by H***N on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 1 August 2019* Chlorine free OK, but contained other chemicals which were even more toxic and disposal of unwanted fluid has to be handled by experts.
