Ended up purchasing a pair of the Orb Audio MOD1 speakers (two thumbs up there as well) along with this subwoofer. Not sure if a center channel would be justified as the speakers are sitting on a 48" tv stand (not a lot of separation). This sub is very well made and I am pleased with the bass that it puts out. I am by no means an audiophile, but the bass is very tight and not boomy at all (unless you want it that way). My girlfriend said that it would never fit between the tv stand and the wall, but this sub is very compact and fit with room to spare. The room that this is in is about 350 sq. feet and the sub has no problems at all. I am not 20 anymore and don't crank my amp to 11 where the sub may come up a little short.
