Review: Great dash cam - Really good dash cam is so good that I was buy second one for my wife car, its have voice control and you can shot diffrent angle video or photo, come with 128gb micro sd card and what is important its have rear camera too. Review: A dash cam with lots of features and great quality. - I am a firm believer in using a dash cam and have been using one in my vehicle for years, but as I have just changed my vehicle, I decided that I was due a new dash cam. I did quite a bit of research and all the information I found recommended getting a dash cam with the Sony STARVIS 2 sensor, the Omni 4K ticks this box and many others. Installation was very easy with a special electrostatic sheet which has markings for exactly where you need to stick the dash cam. One of the big selling points for me was the use of a capacitor rather than a battery for power, this means the dash cam can operate in higher temperatures, ideal when used in a car on a sunny day. I also used the 70mai hardwire kit which allows me to use the parking sentry mode, this is great as it will actively track a person if they are hanging around the vehicle and record the footage for later review. There is a 4G kit which will even alert you at the time via the App but I didn't get this kit. The companion App is very comprehensive but still easy to use, with all recording being stored in different folders and various settings being accessible without having to dig through menus on the dash cam itself. Another really nice feature is the voice control which allows you to get the dash cam to record other directions besides the usual front view, ideal if someone is trying to push in on you from one side, or even for getting a photo of you and your passengers. So the big question is how is the quality, well as you would expect from a Sony STARVIS 2 sensor it is excellent with registration plates being easily readable, even in low light. Overall, a fantastic feature rich dash cam with excellent video quality.

**Q: What is sentinel mode? What purpose does it serve?**
A: This dash cam supports Sentinel mode for parking security, triggered by collision, motion, or time-lapse recording. Note: an additional parking surveillance cable is required to enable this function.

**Q: Why is the activity detection not being activated?**
A: Object stayed too briefly. Solution: Raise sensitivity: Update device & App; Go to Device Settings > Sentinel Mode > Motion Detection; Select high/medium/low. People don't meet AI recognition standards.

**Q: Does motion detection function support sensitivity setting?**
A: Motion detection has four sensitivity levels: ultra-high, high, medium, low. Higher sensitivity means the AI detects “suspicious scenes” more easily and triggers recording faster when an object appears.

**Q: Why can't I activate parking surveillance or time-lapse photography in my dash cam?**
A: This happens when the dash cam doesn’t detect the parking surveillance cable. Please check Ensure the cable is installed and connected correctly—consider professional installation. Verify connections between the cable, fuse box, and dash cam.

**Q: Can I use third-party power sources to power the dash cam?**

Fantastic dashcam. This replaced a Garmin 65W. The increased clarity of the 4k images over 1080p makes all the difference and don't be conned into thinking you need 60fps. The HDR 30fps 4k video you get from the Omni 4k gives great images of number plates, even at night. This was a real issue with the Garmin. Also easy very easy to swap over the cables.
