Those additives upset my stomach and cause inflamation. Elmhurt makes the only one I can find in store (and sadly only at Whole Foods) that only has two ingredients - water and nuts. The cashew is my absolute favorite - it’s creamy and has a mild flavor so it’s perfect for adding to savory sauces. I add it to pasta dishes all the time and I don’t even miss the dairy. They also make other nut milks (walnut, almost, pistachio) as well as oat milk. It’s a little more spendy than other non-dairy milks, but you pay more to leave out the junk ingredients and it’s worth it to me. Elmhurst, you’re simply the best! This is to remove the risk of Salmonella and to Reduce the risk of bacteria, yeasts, and mold. Because of this the company have chosen to get almonds that are PPO Pasteurized, an approved pasteurization method used by the FDA. Almonds are PPO treated before arriving to the company.
