Having problems with water in our cellar due to a broken sewer line, our first pump bit the dust, and I needed a fast, but inexpensive pump to move the water. I've used this pump since 2018, and it's still going strong with some basic care. I'll start with the pros, and there are quite a few:1) It really pumps fast, depending on the size of the hose one elects to use. I'd suggest the largest hose available as a smaller hose ID, will cause the motor to work harder, longer. That's how fast this force of this pump works. Don't try to test it without a hose, unless you want water from one end of your kitchen to the other!2) The output port is multi-directional. This is a plus that helps prevent 'kinks' in the output hose. The srainage hose can be adjusted for the maximum flow rate, from 0 - 180 degrees.3) Easy to use, so easy, even my dog could use it if she had thumbs! Along with this, ... there have been periods of time this pump has stalled on me, twice within this past week. It's easy to remove the base plate with just a Phillips screwdriver for clearing out any 'stone jams (mine have been in the length of 1 inch this week, sand basement), hair, string and such items that will cause the pump to stall. Clear the jam, and the pump will run like magic. I now have this pump placed in a 10" cake pan below ground level, and no more stones. Very easy to clean without a full pull apart of the motor or housing.4) The cord length keeps the plug out of the water, can even be hung up if need be.5) IT's light to move, really pumps the water. AND THE PRICE!!CONS: 1) It has a 'tethered ' on/off switch, Not very flexible, or willing to 'float'. This is the biggest con on this pump. I've placed mine between two cinder blocks in the operate position when the WATER IS there, then simply pull the plug (manual operation) when the drainage is done. DON'T ALLOW THE PUMP TO RUN WITHOUT WATER MOVING THROUGH IT.2) There is no 'check-valve' on this pump, so there is a minimal amount of back flux of water from the hose. In my case, my elevation of hose is around 5 feet, and I get back perhaps 1-1.5 gallons of water.For a few needs per year, ... this pump is an excellent choice for one who needs a very good pump at a minimal expense.
