Not brass. *by R***T on Reviewed in the United States on April 8, 2016* unfortunately, I had to change my initial 5-star review to a 1-star review. I have 12 types of pen refills, none of which fit this pen. I purchased extra fine G2 refills to go along with the pen because it is explicitly stated in an answer provided by the manufacturer about refills that G2 refills work for this–they don't. I'm not going to scour the gd earth for refills, so this will sit in a drawer until the end of time once the ink runs out. I would jam it directly into the designer's eye if presented with the opportunity.After further investigation, it turns out that this isn't even brass. It's some other lacquered metal. The tube is magnetic—I noticed this by happenstance when a whiteboard magnet I had in my bag stuck to it—brass shouldn't be. I scratch-tested the item to further verify, and discovered silvery metal just beneath the buttery veneer of bs. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Mine is real brass, but the ink is meh *by A***H on Reviewed in the United States on July 31, 2020* Got this pen as an EDC, I can confirm its brass, No magnet sticking to it like the other post, even drilled it out (more on that later) and it was definitely brass. The ink after a few weeks started flowing really bad, constantly in an out. I wanted to put a fisher space pen refill in there, measured with caliper I knew it would be close. The SPR4 is what I ordered, it was a hair wider at the tip than the factory ink, 2.3mm vs 2.5mm. I drilled it out so it would fit, then had to cut some tubing to make spacers. For the length I cut the factory ink tube to make a spacer. But then it would fall forward, which i had a random piece of tubing on my desk I could slit and put over the end of the ink to stop that. Now its a much better pen than before.The screw on cap is slightly annoying when trying to be quick, but I like it since it wont open in my pocket. The clip with its hook shape can get caught when I don't want, but I like it better than no clip.
