Any concerns I had about the bike I no longer worried about such tire rubbing on the frame, chainring having 32 or 33 (It's 33 BTW), packaging and condition of the bike (It was perfect), and putting the Bike together (easy esp. if you have built a bike before & you have tools). Anybody that buys this type of Bike should own tools & have no problems. In all it is a good FGFS for the price and for me a good starter Bike as Im looking into custom building a FGFS & modifying this already. The only other thing I can say about this bike as it feels heavy. Not sure how much it weighs but Im sure it's on Purefix website. Im very happy with the quality of the Bike & also Purefix response to my question regarding swapping out the sprocket for a 36:16 gear ratio. I think the standover is 27". It might be a little tall for your son, but if he's still growing then I'd say go for it. Check out the bike further on the Pure Fix website... **Q: Do these bikes come with the dual rear hub, one side for fixed gear and the other for free wheel single speed?** A: yes **Q: im 6 foot 1, is the bike too small for me?** A: I have a 6 foot friend that rides bmx like a champ!
