Scattered across Dhofar, Oman, this frankincense species grows North of Salalah where it was been traded in the ancient coastal city of Sumhuram, now Khor Rori. Our batches aren't colour graded or purity graded--why is this? the answer is simple: its unsustainable. We have sourced our Boswellia Sacra from a few harvester in Oman, who do not grade frankincense past a certain point. As our customers become aware of the pressures on these gifts from nature, we feel it is important to share them ethically and responsibly. Frankincense is a tool of the conscious individual. Our resins are packaged manually with the utmost care. No robots, No Ai :) Just people, sharing ancient practices and traditions. Your bottle will include almost every tear drop in assorted colours and clarity. Red Hojori: A faded red with almost honey orange tone. The red drips come out at the higher parts of the tree. Green Hojori: The light green bulb that shows itself at the beginning or ending of the tapping. Black Hojori: Deep dark resinous sap that contains the spicy tones, producing the most raw and sensual scent.Amber Hojori: A light yellow tinge that escapes the tree between resting periods. HOW TO USE INCENSE BURNER: We advise to use a scent free, chemical free and sulphur free charcoal preferably of coconut shell. Place charcoal on kitchen element/stove top on high. Use tongs to hold it up (never hold it with your fingers alone or you might get burned). Place the lit charcoal in a bowl or incense burner/censer. Let the charcoal warm for a few minutes.
