Included plug & play "T" harness will allow to connect the third brake light replacement cargo camera to a factory screen (no dealer programming necessary) and will work with the factory tailgate backup camera (truck must have a factory tailgate handle camera). The included switcher is designed to default to the factory camera input as per FMVSS standards. When the input trigger is activated via toggle switch or a trigger generator, the third brake light camera will display. The 3rd brake light rear-view camera will replace the original 3rd brake light. You will need to remove the factory Dodge 3rd brake light and then install the new 3rd brake light camera assembly in place of it. Power & Signal Connections: The 3rd brake camera includes a 23' composite video cable which will need to be routed around the headliner to the front of the truck in order to reach and connect to the aftermarket display. A 30" power/ground cable is supplied on the camera end to tap into power and ground at the reverse light. The included generic instructions, covered a wide range of installs, and kind of leaves it up to you to figure out where your power supply connections will come from. For me, on my Ram 2500, I tapped onto the red power wire feeding the heater/AC dash control panel. This took some testing with a multimeter to verify, but it all worked out. Links to a youtube video showing an install would be useful as well. I hunted around, and eventually found an install video of a similar product, that helped me. ### ⭐⭐ Emits low lighting and not a perfect fit *by T*** on Reviewed in the United States on April 30, 2020* The camera is decent but what two things I dislike about the product are the actual bulbs they used, they emit almost no light, I had to install LED strips to the truck bed so I could actually see something in the dark through the camera and when I'm actually in the truck bed. The second issue I have is that it leaves to much of a gap once installed, I had to apply a good amount of silicone to assure no water egress would be possible. The picture quality is excellent, and installation was not that hard.
