I use a nose pillow mask, but my mouth was still coming open at night. These are much better than the original Resmed one that I started with and half the price. The chin part is softer and the straps are wider and more comfortable. I did make the slit longer to fit my head better. Sometimes if I have a restless night and move around too mulch, it will slip forward and not hold my mouth. I just pull the strap back in place and go back to sleep. They wash up well and dry quickly. I was surprised that the side effects was that I was no longer grinding my teeth and made my tmj pain stopped. That was a nice extra benefit. You have to experiment with the tightness and where best to place it on your head so it does not come off during the night, but once you find the sweet spot on your own head, it works great. Review: I was hoping to find something minimal that wouldn't bother me while I slept. Unfortunately these didn't work for me because they kept slipping off at night. I have a big head and need help** A: I also have a large head and these fit my head. It doesn’t stay on as well as I hoped but I don’t think it’s from strap being to small but because anything with a stretch band wants to slide of of a round surface. **Q: Does this contain neoprene?** A: Very comfortable but nothing written or tagged to let you know for sure **Q: Does this chin strap have an odor?** A: I didn't notice any odor but I did find the chin strap to be too small for my chin which has a beard. **Q: Does this work as well as the genuine ResMed blue chinstrap?** A: The first thing I noticed when I received them was that the stretchy strap was not as firm as the original Resmed. I particularly like the velvet chin strap. Comfortable to wear. It took me two nights to find the correct fit. Now I just slip in on and off, without changing the tension settings. Nicely priced. Two units. I keep one by my bedstand and the other by my recliner for daily naps (I am 81 yrs old).
