The ANR cuts some of the low frequencies and is better than passive headphones. But the wind noise and higher frequencies still come through. I passed the knowledge test and currently taking IFR ground school.I bought the headsets for a friend to test. She is in IFR class with me and passed the PP practical. She has 2 PNR headsets. She said they are REALLY quiet. There is a big difference compared to the PNR headsets. We don't have another brand to test, but I am happy with her enthusiastic review. Her instructor is a retired Delta pilot and owns an airport.
