I used it on chocolate strawberries and cakepops. It worked fine, has the same consistency as Tinker Dust, and you could tell the difference compared to "non-toxic" glitter (sugar art is edible - alot of people seem to not know there's a difference between non-toxic and edible). The glitter has no taste (which in my opinion is preferred). The glitter does tend to get everywhere but that's NORMAL! Overall, I am satisfied. Color is nice, texture feels fine, and the glitter does shine and sparkle. & it is not a waste of money, it is almost the same price as "Tinker Dust" glitter and they both last the same amount of uses. I get more uses out of Non-toxic glitter because its non toxic and more grainy. Remember, edible glitter is EDIBLE, so it's more of powdery consistency and you get less uses out of it so it may seem like a waste but it's not. If macarons, yes. Sprinkle it on before baking your macarons. DiamonDust is best sprinkled as an accent to cookies, cakes, cupcakes, etc. Thank you. **Q: Can it be mixed in with buttercream frosting?** A: Unfortunately it is not best utilized in this way, the product it's self is for food use and though it is approved food coloring if you try to add it to any ingredients outside of a few that are clear such as Isomalt, clear piping gel or drinks it will loose much of the shine. The DiamonDust is a product that is considered an interference color, as such the best way to utilize it is to have it as topical use primarily. So sprinkling it on Buttercream not mixing it. Adding it to the outside of chocolate dipped strawberries not in the actual chocolate. This will allow the lite to hit the mica and give it the sparkle. Just be aware that the glitter is also like dust.. so there was glitter everywhere in my house. It just got in the air and floated around, EVERYWHERE. My air filter is full of glitter. lol BUT if you don’t mind the cleanup. The sparkle was great and the birthday party loved them.
