They measure 7 1/2 inches in the back and 6 1/8 inches. **Q: What is the width between the two legs where they are touching the floor?** A: The shorter portion of the leg is 17" wide and the longer portion is 17 3/4" wide. **Q: What is the height (both front and back, so i know the angle); the reviews give two different sizes for the narrower side (5-1/2", 6-1/8").** A: When the bench is fully extended (not partially folded), I measure precisely 5 1/2" on the shorter end and 6 5/8" on the longer end of the legs. That gives you a 1 1/8 " slope. I don't know how the other reviewer measured his or her bench, but that's my answer and I'm sticking with it. ;) **Q: I am 6'4". Will this work for me?** A: Depends more on your inseam than on your height, whether you use it atop a zabuton or the floor (and how soft / firm the zabuton is) and the diameter of your calves (which must fit underneath the bench), whether you get a cushion for the top of the bench (which will raise you up a bit), and how you prefer to sit (which is a personal preference). I have a 32" inseam, use a 1/2" thick foam cushion atop the bench, and set the bench atop a soft-ish zabuton. It's worked for me for multi-day retreats. The hinges on the bench are secured by screws that popped through the hinge causing the bench to collapse. Very poorly designed and clearly not well thought out. Very disappointed.
