## Description

Use Ortho® GroundClear® Weed & Grass Killer Super Concentrate1 to kill different weed and grass types including crabgrass, dandelion, nutsedge, and oxalis. The quick-kill, dual-action formula starts working immediately. One ingredient kills on contact while the other penetrates deep into the plant to kill all the way down to the roots. Sprayed weeds usually begin to wilt within hours after being treated, with weeds completely killed in 1 to 2 weeks. Apply this powerful weed and grass killer around landscape areas, patios, walkways and driveways. A single application controls most listed weeds. Rainfall or watering 15 minutes after application will not reduce the effectiveness of this powerful weed control. This product is a concentrate. It cannot be applied directly out of its container. Easily apply to weeds and unwanted grasses with an Ortho® tank sprayer. When mixed as directed, each 32 fl. oz. bottle of concentrate creates 6.4 gallons of weed and grass killer to treat up to 2,240 sq. ft.

Review: We live on just over an acre in central Arizona and moved into an area that is infested with Silverleaf Nightshade (Solanum elaeagnifolium, or aka Horesenettle) which is a toxic, tough, nasty, perennial weed from the Nightshade family, poisonous to both humans and animals if ingested, especially the numerous yellow berries it produces. It spreads quickly through an extensive tuberous and woody root system and has sharp tiny painful spines covering the entire stems and even leaves. It is extremely difficult to control and requires numerous treatments and vigilance to eradicate as it pop up everywhere from the central sytem. This Ortho "super concentrate", which works down through the root sytems of these broadleaf obnoxious weeds (and many others), is one of the few effective controls I have found. Glycophosphate-based (the basic "Roundup types", etc) weed killers will only give temporary control. It is cost-effective compared to the pre-mixed stuff, especially if you have large areas to cover. Be careful when using it as it contains 2,4-D and Dicamba (3,6-dichloro-2-methoxybenzoic acid). Do not use near any sensitive or wanted plants when temperatures are above 80 degrees, or even a slight breeze, as 2,4-D and Dicamba will vaporize and drift onto them, damaging and even killing them as well. I know, as the volatilization killed a few of my young grapevines when I used another weed killer (Crossbow) containing 2,4-D when it was 95 degrees. This applies to weed killers carrying Triclopyr as well, so read and adhere to the instructions and BE CAREFUL.
