Review: This is a great bag. - I travel frequently for work and needed something more protective and practical than my purse to carry my laptop around. I had been searching for months for a laptop backpack that was polished, professional and feminine…and not made of heavy leather. A very tall order. I reluctantly began searching for the best pricing for the Tumi Carson, which I had seen on a colleague who had similar challenges finding an appropriate backpack for work. Fortunately, while searching desertcart for the Tumi, I ran across this Sophie bag from Kenneth Cole Reaction. It appeared to be very similar in style and size as the Tumi Carson, so I took a chance and placed an order. What a great bag! Having seen the Tumi in person, there is no way I could justify its' $400 price tag when this Kenneth Cole is equally functional and a fraction of the cost. Admittedly, it lacks some of the refinements of a $400 bag (the Tumi nylon is slightly higher quality, and the back straps are nicer and don't have dangling ends)…but this is not a deal breaker. I carry Dooney and Bourke bags exclusively - so I have a certain "standard" when it comes to handbags, totes and briefcases. For the price, this Sophie bag is a great deal, and more importantly, it is polished enough to carry with my business attire. It slides over the bulky handle on my Travelpro Platinum carry-on with ease, holds my laptop in a padded compartment, cords, wallet, phones, makeup bag, iPad, and has plenty of room to spare. The only improvement needed: the side pockets have only one zipper so when I place my 240z Hydroflask bottle, I don't have a snug fit. If these pockets had two zippers I could pull them up on both sides of the bottle to help secure in place. Still, even with this minor inconvenience, this backpack gets 5 stars from me: professional, lightweight, organized, stylish and functional. I now own both the black and blue…which by the way is a richer blue shade than appears in the pictures.
Review: Fantastic backpack - I have been extremely pleased with this backpack. I've had it for about a year now and have used it daily. I use it for travel (as my personal item) and as my daily bag. It is sturdy and has held up great. The zippers are strong, good quality. I got the navy blue (it has gold zippers which makes it look a little more stylish for everyday use). It has so many useful pockets, and even though I fill it really full, I always seem to have extra space for a lightweight jacket, etc. and it holds my laptop perfectly and securely. The hand hold at the top is starting to tear at the seam, (mostly my fault due to filling it with a lot of heavy stuff for travel). Other than that, the backpack still looks like new. Shoulder straps are sturdy, comfortable and are holding up well. Definitely recommend it.

I travel frequently for work and needed something more protective and practical than my purse to carry my laptop around. I had been searching for months for a laptop backpack that was polished, professional and feminine…and not made of heavy leather. A very tall order. I reluctantly began searching for the best pricing for the Tumi Carson, which I had seen on a colleague who had similar challenges finding an appropriate backpack for work. Fortunately, while searching Amazon for the Tumi, I ran across this Sophie bag from Kenneth Cole Reaction. It appeared to be very similar in style and size as the Tumi Carson, so I took a chance and placed an order. What a great bag! Having seen the Tumi in person, there is no way I could justify its' $400 price tag when this Kenneth Cole is equally functional and a fraction of the cost. I have been extremely pleased with this backpack. I've had it for about a year now and have used it daily. I use it for travel (as my personal item) and as my daily bag. Figured I’d leave a review since there aren’t many reviews about this bag and I depend on reviews to make a purchase so I’m sure there’s others like me. First let me start off my by saying this is a shared amazon account under my husband’s name. I say this because I’m always skeptical when I see reviews on a women’s product left by accounts with a man’s name and I wonder did the company write the review lol. With that said! This bag is everything I was looking for! I needed a backpack for work. I was using my Kate Spade Watson purse as my laptop bag and for a while and it served a purpose but the weight on my shoulder became unbearable. This bag is lightweight, stylish, and has so many compartments. The material feels soft and amazing. It also comes with limited lifetime warranty! There’s a space for a tablet also. Which I don’t need to use for work since I just carry a laptop back and forth but it’s nice to have the option for both! There’s a similar bag I was looking at that I almost purchased before finding this one and the price on the bag is almost $400. This bag is pretty much the same thing for way less!! Save yourself the money and get this bag instead if you find yourself as conflicted as I was!! You won’t regret! Your shoulders and wallet will thank you! So far so good!
