When I got the car, it had the original paper cone speaker...I bought a specialty speaker at a show to replace it, but I had to deconstruct it to make it fit. Being a convertible, I need a speaker that is going to be loud enough to be heard over road noise. My first one, not so much. This fits the bill beautifully, and I am thrilled to find a speaker that I do not have to completely modify to make it fit. On top of that, the sound quality far exceeds expectations. Now, my car only has a spot for one speaker, and this did not specify if it was one, or if I was buying a pair. There are two sellers on here, the other is a bit more expensive, but it does specify that you are purchasing a pair. Only needing one, I went for the lower price. Turns out, these are also a pair of speakers. So, if I ever need a backup, I have one at the ready! What a great price for speakers that completely exceed my expectations. I have had this speaker in my mustang for a couple of months now, and am very pleased. It sounds as good playing The Eagles, The Black Crows, and Snow Patrol as it does Disturbed, Korn, or the Drop Kick Murphys...Highly recommend this speaker!
