The power is 50 watts RMS meaning average power with 150 Watts peak per speaker. They get away with saying 300 watts because there are 2 speakers. This is about as close to false advertising as you can get in my opinion. **Q: does this come with brackets and screws?** A: Yes. Has brackets for mounting if speaker does not align with your vehicles existing opening. Also comes with screws but I purchased better quality as the ones included were not very good. These are excellent speakers and I have them installed in Dodge RAM 2500 Rear door panels.Make sure you buy the speaker wire adapters for your vehicle model.
