However, I chose not to install, but return them instead.The hangers that were delivered were a disappoitment. Light weight, low quality, not as substantial as I believed I was buying. These do the job, and do it well. They have transformed the ugly columns that stand in front of my door (the pretty plants help too). I got so many compliments from my neighbors, and most importantly, I LOVE them. I had to get more for myself, and my neighbor who hangs plants too. I have four pretty heavy pots hanging from four hooks. They (the pots) slightly sway in the wind - and we get strong wind here - but there is no fear of the hooks falling or breaking under the strain. They were not particularly difficult to hang, I have experience with drills. But, it took about a half hour to get it all done. Mostly, I had to find the right drill bit size for the anchors. But, I like that sort of thing anyway. It was fun to do. If you are on the fence about these hooks, jump off and get them.
