I have a newer Maytag washer, and for some reason, Maytag did not include an access port/door to clean the drain filter, so you have to disassemble the front of the washer to access it (as per Maytag’s own instructions). After watching a few videos of people who cut holes in the front of the sheet metal to access the filter, I did the same, and then used this to cover the hole.
