The bottle recommends adding 10 drops to the warmer but I would start with just a few drops and add more later. Even with a dimmer on my warmer, the five drops that I added were a little strong at first, even for my living room/dining room area. It is a great scent and it lasts a long time. Perfect to get ready for the holidays!Update: The scent seems to get weaker over time. Any unused oil left in the burner won't smell by the next morning so only add what you will use. It also seems that five drops isn't that strong now and doesn't last an hour. I would still buy this product because I love the smell and any scent becomes less noticeable over time so having to renew it isn't a big deal. It also means I can switch scents pretty much whenever I want. I have four of their oils and it seems to be the case for all of them. I have only owned them for three weeks. I had read that if you use fragrance oil on the pine cones and seal them in a bag for a week that they will smell again. I'm not sure if it was this product or that it doesn't work but the pine cones weren't very fragrant. I will try just burning the oil instead.
