The handles are totally different from the pictures shown, as well as the description. Mine are hard as a rock, with fine raised edges that cover the entire grip. I find myself having to wear gloves to use them for any length of time, and that is considering I have pretty tough hands. Short of the TERRIBLE grips, I would actually like them as they do give your hands a decent workout after enough reps.PS,....if you are a normal, healthy male I suggest the highest resistance pair.
