It provides much more light for “bedside reading and nighttime tasks” in their words than expected. I haven’t given it a test run quite yet in which I can adjust, or if I will return it or use it elsewhere outside the bedroom. Otherwise, this seems like a good product, but the so far the main product is essentially the light emitted and this bulb is bright! If you like that, I think you’ll like it as an evening lamp. My previous light has a lot of blue light and was a desk lamp of a kind (IKEA) so this is what is supposed to be a dedicated bedside table lamp. We’ll see. The size and design is a plus..
