I was somewhat surprised to find the pieces were basically small, round pellets rather than typical square or round tablet types like most gum is. But it worked. It is a bit on the hard side starting out, but it has a really nice Maple flavor. The flavor doesn't last too long before it's gone, and the gum itself gets pretty hard when chewed for a bit. Now I also bought the Spearment/Peppermint and I have found that they seem to be a bit softer to begin with and it stays pliable for a lot longer, giving you more time to absently chew without getting fresh pieces every few minutes. The flavor isn't as strong starting out as the Maple however, but it does seem to last a bit longer than the Maple did. Overall, I like it. I can now chew my gum again so I am not absently stuffing my mouth with junk food while I work, I am not having reactions from artificial sweeteners, and that is good for both my work output and my health.
