You choose either the lotion or the powder use a small amount on your students hand have them rub together and then let them go wash. When they return you can use the flash light to see how "well" they washed. Be sure to check nail beds and any cut or scrape. I make my students rewash until it's all gone. Hanoi would be surprised how many students it will take 3-4 times.An alternate idea is to have 1 or 2 students use the GloGerm and not tell anyone. Then after a time period or activity tell them that it was an experiment of how easily germs are transmitted and see how many people came into contact with the "germs".You can also use the lotion on a door knob or pencil sharpener as the point of infection and see how many students after a class period are infected. Some students volunteered to put Glo Germ on their hands. We turned out the classroom lights for full effect from the UV light.
