This kettle has a nice weight to it with a polished finish. If you review the instructions, they recommend using a smaller burner, so I heated mine up in the inner coil of a dual burner and it heated up plenty fast. I went with the 2.6 liter choice, which seemed the perfect size. Personally, I feel the weight and construction and finish of the stainless is better than expected - a good buy.
