It just arrives in a small, unattractive, brown cardboard box. There are no enticing pictures of any kind that might encourage a youngster to open it in excitement or anticipation. The box is quite tightly packed with five transparent plastic bags, each containing the parts necessary to assemble a particular dinosaur. Each bag also contains a small, crumpled-up piece of paper illustrating how those parts should be assembled. I don’t think that any of this is very appealing to the target audience … and it will need the enthusiastic participation of an adult or suitably older child to get the best out of this product. That said, a collaborative assembly of the dinosaurs does encourage manual dexterity, as well as providing an opportunity for learning and education.
