I'm asleep within 10 min now when it used to take me hours sometimes to quiet my brain. It's soft and I even play with beads in their little squares sometimes. I will say that I think they're a little smaller than the designation given. I got a queen and it's perfect for one person if you move around in your sleep at all. I got the 25 lb one and it's perfect for me, enough to feel the weight without feeling smothered.
