This came in a compact box with everything packed in. I plugged it in and it heated up right away.I started to use it and my finger quickly got tired of continuously pressing the button for steam. I guess I’m used to the garment steamer from working retail that had continuous steam coming out.When using it, steaming out the larger areas of my husband’s button down shirts were pretty easy but it was difficult to steam areas such as cuffed shirt sleeves, the flap of the pockets, the bottom edges of the shirt etc. i find i had to hold the shirt part stiff and use the steam and often times my hand got too close. Unfortunately, there isn’t a better way to iron it.I guess I can use it as a traditional iron but it defeats the purpose of this iron/steamer.One thing I did noticed that hanging up the shirts on my closet door and trying to steam it, the cord often times was not long enough.
