It's hard to get onto soda bottle caps, and once I did, it just seemed to move around the outside without a secure grip, and it is far too large for the water bottles I buy. A problem also arose with pop-open jars -- the space between the prongs is too large, so it slips off when I try to apply it. The duck is worse than useless as it caused me increased pain when I struggled to use it,and while the flat rubber opener is ok, i already have one that applies greater grip quality. So I am still needing to have everyone open items for me again.
