I bought them for a wedding that had and inside/outside venue because I wasn't sure what the terrain would be. I am perfectly capable of walking in heels but not in gravel and dirt! I brought these along just in case and I was happy I did because all of the tables were in the gravel ( gorgeous outdoor venue in the redwoods) and I would have probably ended up tripping on a tree root or something by the end of the night. They made it through the whole night, no ripping or wearing away of the sole.
