Review: Light shoe, lots of bounce - I’ve worn asics kayanos for over 30 years, but decided to try something new. These feel very different. The first thing you notice is the cushioning and the bounce when you heel strike. But the trade off is a little bit less stability. They are lighter too. Fit seems pretty spot on. Tongue is thinner than other running shoes. So far runs still feel good, I’m interspersing with Kayano 30s. The lightness is noticeable on longer runs. Ask me which I prefer in six months, as at the moment both feel great to run in. UPDATE: I ended up giving these to my son. I found that the foam sole is less stable for my knees, and I was starting to have pains in my knee joint. They are not a bad shoe, but for me personally I will stick with my kayanos. He likes them and loves how light they are!! Review: Very comfortable. - The shoes fit perfectly and are comfortable. Good quality, traction and they look good. ## Features - Engineered mesh upper material: Improves airflow to help your feet keep cool - Gusseted tongue wing fit system: Improves the midfoot fit and reduces tongue sliding - FF TURBO PLUS technology: Cushioning improves compression and creates a responsive feel underfoot - FF BLAST PLUS technology: Cushioning provides lightweight impact absorption and a responsive rebound - Trampoline-inspired outsole design: Provides a more responsive bounce back - AHARPLUS heel plug rubber: Improves the outsole durability ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B0FFLHLW6K | | Best Sellers Rank | #66,693 in Clothing, Shoes & Jewelry ( See Top 100 in Clothing, Shoes & Jewelry ) #131 in Men's Road Running Shoes | | Brand | ASICS | | Closure Type | Lace-Up | | Color | Winter Sea/White | | Cushioning Level | Maximum | | Customer Reviews | 4.6 out of 5 stars 1,006 Reviews | | Fit to Size Sentiment | Positive | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00197298775113 | | Heel Type | No Heel | | Import Designation | Imported | | Inner material | Mesh | | Insole Cushioning | foam | | Item Weight | 1.4 pounds | | Manufacturer | Asics | | Manufacturer Part Number | 1013A142.402 | | Model Name | Superblast 2 | | Occasion Type | Athletic | | Origin | Imported | | Outer Material | Polyurethane (PU) | | Outer material | Polyurethane (PU) | | Pronation Correction | Neutral | | Shoe Height Map | ankle-high | | Shoe Type | Athletic Shoe | | Sole Material | Rubber | | Sole material | Rubber | | Special Features | Logo | | Strap Type | lace_up | | Style Name | Athletic | | Style Number | 1013A142.402 | | Surface Recommendation | Road, Treadmill | | Toe Style | Closed Toe | | UPC | 197298775113 | | Water Resistance Level | Not Water Resistant | ## Images ![ASICS Unisex SUPERBLAST 2 Running Shoes - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61nVPmZFSoL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Color, Size** options. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Light shoe, lots of bounce *by R***R on March 14, 2026* I’ve worn asics kayanos for over 30 years, but decided to try something new.
