I also use Retin A 3 times a week so sun protection is very important to me. I purchased this to use on an expedition cruise to Antarctica where I was outdoors in cold, sunny windy weather for several days. Folks there is a literal hole in the ozone layer in Antarctica so SPF is critical. I applied a generous layer of this each morning over my moisturizer and also refreshed the Tower 28 SPF once after lunch time. At dinner I applied a little foundation over the top of it for a bit of extra coverage. I discontinued my Retin A about a week before we departed to further protect from UV exposure. My skin stayed hydrated and comfortable during an 11 day adventure in sunny, rainy, windy and cold conditions with some of the worst UV on earth. No redness from chapping or difference in my skin color whatsoever after 11 days. I can’t imagine using anything else now. I live in sunny Scottsdale with sun everyday and low humidity. This has become my everyday SPF foundation. The finish is slightly dewy but I appreciate this on my dry skin. I do need to double cleanse to remove it fully. BTW, the folks who chose to skip SPF looked like old brown shoe leather by the end of the cruise.
