I normally take 2-3 a day, and also add in a flax seed oil pill to help finish off the last bit of required omega-3's per day, which my doctor says is about 4,000mg per day. The biggest complaint my doctor had about this though, was the EPA and DHA were too close together, he would prefer more EPA and less DHA.
