I use it when the air conditioner or radiator begins to dry out my eyes. It provides a little kick of menthol that stimulates tear production. From my experience you can use this with contact lenses with no ill effects. Thanks to my friend Chris, a resident of Japan, who turned me on to this Japanese product. These drops work very well for dry eyes and are budget friendly along with actually having an excellent eye lubricant. Many people are going to complain about the stinging from the menthol from it. Yes it does sting for around 5-10 seconds. Then your eyes start producing tears in addition to the hydration provided from these drops. It has a lubricant used in eye drops many times the price but the menthol is what people complain about. I believe these help alleviate dry eyes in 2 ways that will help prevent those from dry eye constant eye drop until I cannot stop.
