It is compact with being stored its own carry case, which unfolds and hangs from the back of the seat in front. The sound quality is excellent too. It was a very good price and arrived quickly. The little ones watch their DVD with head phones in the back and the other 3 can listen to their DVD in the middle row with no head phones. All are happy for a few hours then the battery runs out. As the main player can be used using the lithium battery and the second screen off the mains it means that only one DVD can be watched before the battery power runs out. However this was not a major issue as the kids just plugger the main player into the car charger and shared the one screen for a while. Also the lithium battery has to be charged in the house prior to making a journey. As long as this is all planned out and your organised this is not an issue. If only one screen is used at a time the player can be plugger directly into the car without charging the battery. The kids also liked used the DVD in their rooms a their grandparents house.
