**Q: It has a switch to let it flap its wings, but I can't make it "switch" - I can wind it up, but not switch it on. Any ideas?**
A: Sounds like a factory defect, send it back for exchange.

I don’t use the switch personally, I just hold it by the wings, wind it up, then throw it.

I had countless hours of fun playing with ornithopters as a child, so I bought this for my son hoping that he would enjoy it just as much. Unfortunately, the quality of this item is severely lacking. The body is made of paper thin plastic, the wings are extremely delicate, and the winding mechanism is fragile. After a couple of successful flights, my son just picked it up by the wing, and the wingtip snapped the fragile plastic leading edge. After trying to tape it together, we managed to get it flying again briefly, although it didn’t fly quite as well after that. After another flight or two, the tiny plastic tab on the winding mechanism broke, and the handle would just spin around in circles after winding it up. Now it’s totally useless. I expected more from this item, and I am really disappointed. Would not recommend.
