I followed the directions included multiple times but it would not connect. I called desertcart support and they had the seller contact me. They responded that day via e-mail. After a 3 hour e-mail dialouge back and forth, we finally figured out that i needed to deregister the handset i was trying to replace (no mention of this in the directions). Once i did this, it connected to the base right away with the directions provided. Appears to be working fine and just as good as a new one. The gentlemen i was e-mailing with was patient and worked me through the issue, but it would have been a lot less frustrating for me and taken less time if they had called me on the phone. I requested this, but it did not happen. I am guessing this is because they cannot log the info discussed when on a phone call. Anyway, works well and happy with my purchase. Recommend they put info in their directions about needing to deregister the old handset first if already have the max (6) registered to the base unit.
