So, this is difficult to get used to BUT that is strictly user issue. I love and hate that it has a glass side. Some are both metal. I just get nervous, again user issue, tapping the glass. Others I know have both metal, and they don't have to worry about glass breaking when separating them. I will say the glass is sturdy, and I am probably just inexperienced. For someone who has used this type of shaker, it is high quality. For a newbie, maybe get both side stainless first. The drinks get super duper shaken. Nice job on the mixing. Sometimes a great froth with the finished product. It also, vanity alert, looks cool, as you mix, and you can see the drink mixing in the glass side. Don't regret the purchase.
