It came with a few colors the white being the longest "ink" that they provide for you. It took me about 4-5 min for me to get used to the wand and know how to work it. It takes lots of patience but at the same time it's a great distraction! If you're looking for a hobby, this might just be right for you if you have a creative mind. The rip can get as hot as 235F° so just be very careful, I burned myself once nothing too serious though. My grandkids (8 and 11 yrs old) had so much fun coming up with new objects to render. The pen was fairly easy to use. It was a little tricky changing filaments- we could reverse the current color out easy enough, but it would keep running in reverse, so we just unplugged it and plugged it right back in again to reset it, an easy workaround. After plugging it in, it takes just a few minutes to warm up, and then have fun making stuff! you might want to order extra filament right away, as it goes fast. There are lots of inspiring videos on YouTube. We might order more, so we can all create at the same time!
