It's three NES and three SNES Final Fantasy games, updated for HDTV. The NES games are somewhat updated with SNES-level graphics and features like attacking the next enemy if the targeted one is already dead. Basically, all of the games have the same look and feel in battle, which is the Final Fantasy IV experience. "Auto battle" speeds up the battles by automatically repeating your last action for each character. Each game has a bestiary, which is nice improvement. The on-screen map is a nice improvement over printed maps. The music is performed by a real orchestra, though the original music is an option if you want a more authentic experience. They took everything that was good about these games and added things that we would have loved to have had back in the day. I couldn't be happier with this remake. Six games is a lot of playtime.
